Yeah, I'll get to this someday....too damn busy at work.
To be short, I went to Syracuse. I got lucky, since I never actually
visited the school before I attended. Turned out it was a great school.
Ran into CHS characters all the time, including Pete Y. Started off
a bio major, which was more of a parent mandated thing. I could minor
in arts, since it was too unpredictable about having a career in. Aced
the 1st semester, but I didn't really like it too much. What I liked
were the cool dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, and I set out to switch into
computer animation in the art school. So that was my 2nd year, but I
had to do a year of fine arts before I could touch the computer. Due
to the school not budging about their stringent class requirements,
I had to extend school an extra year (oh darn). By then, the internets
thing was getting pretty hot, and I had been learning how to make websites
since 96. So naturally it was easier to find jobs in that field and
not having to go to CA. Got a couple internships in Manch during my
summers, as well as working nights at the Wild Rover. By the time graduation
came around, I started work right away at a great firm in Manch. There
I was the Flash guy. I remained pretty lucky, since the whole dot bomb
thing happened, and I managed to keep employment. And then my girlfriend
had this crazy idea to start a design and web development business,
and I joined her in November. Haven't slept much since, but it's been
good. And if I hadn't of stayed that extra year in school, woudn't have
met her. I'll try to get some sleep before the reunion though. This
is a good site by the way, thanks to all who set it up.
